Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis is a method by which an individual cell is removed from an embryo during the IVF process and tested.

This means embryos which do not have serious debilitating, or terminal diseases such as cystic fibrosis can be selected. The centre will also be offering Pre Implantation Genetic Screening (also known as Aneuploidy Screening) with the latest genetic microarray technology (array CGH).

In young women with repeated miscarriage due to chromosomal abnormalities this can help select unaffected embryos.
