Centre for Education in Medical Genetics
The Centre for Education in Medical Genetics (CEMG) was established in summer 2002, with the support of the West Midlands Genetics Service Commissioners. This brought together our existing expertise in identifying educational needs, developing educational resources and training opportunities and delivering high quality genetics education.
We are committed to facilitating the development, provision and evaluation of effective, enjoyable, clinically relevant educational opportunities and resources in genetics for the NHS and to raising awareness of genetics in healthcare across the NHS and society.
This website outlines our activities within CEMG and in collaboration with a range of organisations including the National Genetic Education and Development Centre, Centre for Research in Medical and Dental Education, School of Education and School of Health Sciences, University of Birmingham, Thinktank (the Birmingham Museum of Science and Discovery) and local NHS health care providers.
