Primary Care | Go Back |
The majority of enquiries about a family history of cancer arise at primary care level. The aim of this section is to provide relevant information to assist primary healthcare professionals in deciding who is at risk, and to reassure patients who do not meet the referral guidelines.
Some of the perceived benefits of WMFACS for primary care are:
- Reduction in workload
- Appropriate referrals being made to surveillance units and clinical genetics
- Consistency across the West Midlands region
- Cost and time saving
