Jobs and Volunteering
We have 1,500 staff and aim to be a good employer. We want people to enjoy working for and to feel valued for what they do. We are committed to encouraging training and supporting members of staff in achieving their career ambitions. We participate in the annual staff survey and have an annual plan to improve our poorer scores. We are developing a set of visions and values with our staff and these will be published later this year.
All staff receive regular appraisals and have the chance to progress within the Trust. We also believe it is important to look after the health and well-being of our staff. We offer regular therapy sessions and all staff can use the sports and leisure facilities including a swimming pool in the Morris Centre on site.
All staff are encouraged to be members of our Foundation Trust and to stand as an elected Governor.
Volunteering
We have a network of volunteers to support the work of the Trust. We welcome individuals who can spare a few hours to help us in a number of areas including:
- Welcoming patients and visitors
- Visiting patients on the wards
Please note that due to the high volume of applications, we will not be taking any further applications for volunteer recruitment until 2012.
