Patient and Visitor Information

General information on infection prevention and control in our Trust is displayed on an information board in main reception. Information is also displayed on information boards in individual in-patient wards detailing audit results i.e. hand hygiene compliance, cleanliness audits.

Information about how we prevent and control healthcare associated infections can be found in our Trust patient information leaflet “ What are we doing to Prevent and Control Healthcare associated Infections”. You may have already received a copy with your Hospital Information. Copies can also be accessed at the Health Information Centre or from individual wards and departments.

Information about MRSA is available in our Trust patient information leaflet – “What is MRSA?”

We also have Infection Control Awareness weeks each year, to focus on key elements of good infection control practice. They consist of interactive displays and provide the opportunity for the public to meet the Infection Control Nurses.
