Labour and my Baby's Birth

Most women will aim to give birth normally, meaning a straightforward vaginal birth.  However, some women will require help during the labour process or birth itself.  1 in 5 women will need to have an emergency caesarean section at some point during their labour.  For some women, a plan will be made in advance of labour starting for an elective caesarean section
