Patient research at Birmingham Women's Health Care NHS Trust

Birmingham Women's Health Care NHS Trust is committed to supporting research to provide the best possible care for its patients. Through research we can determine which method of treatment is the best.

Many of the medical staff here are involved in research, but without the voluntary involvement of patients many of these studies could not go ahead. If you are a patient at at the hospital it is quite possible you may be asked to take part in a research study.

Taking part in a research study is always voluntary and making this decision is easier if you know which questions to ask before deciding whether to take part in a study. Use the links on the left to find out more information.

The Research and Development Office is keen to encourage patients to get involved in the way research is carried out at Birmingham Women's Hospital.

We would be very pleased to hear your views. Please contact us with any comments and questions about the information on this site. Let us know if there is anything you would like to see added or if you have any comments about your own experience of taking part in a research study.
